  SOC Analyst Job description SOC Analyst is the security professional responsible for monitoring an organization's network and systems for malicious activities. They look for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) alerts, network logs, and various other resources that provide useful information about all the activities going on in a network. They are expected to have an in-depth understanding of network security, ethical hacking, malware analysis, incident response, and reverse engineering.
